De Stijl
The style was founded in Holland in 1917 by Theovan Doesburg and Piet Mondrain to promote their use of geometric and abstract shapes and coloursbased on the idea of universal harmony. Their ideas extended to architecture and design as well aspainting and Van Doesburg 1n 1919 designed a new typographic alphabet.
